1. Wolfgang Sievers
Born September 18th 1913, died August 7th 2007.
Known mostly for architectural and Industrial photography.




2.)  Edward Curtis 
1868-1952
Famous for photos of the American West.

3.) Jay Maisel
Born January 18th, 1931.
Best known for capturing the light, color, and gesture found in everyday life.

4.) Paul Strand 
Born October 16th, 1890 Died March 31st, 1976
Most known for helping establish photography as an art form in the 20th Century. Worked a lot with shadows.




5.) Lewis Hine.
Born September 26th, 1874 Died November 3rd, 1940.
American sociologist and Photographer. Known for using his camera as a tool of social reform. 



6.) Alex Prager
Born 1979.
Prager is well known for using staged models to create film like photos. He has also worked on a number of movies.





7.) Larry Burrows
Born May 29th 1929 Died February 10th 1971
Burrows is most known for his photos of the Vietnam War.





8.) Edward Weston
Born March 24th 1886 Died January 1st 1958
Weston was a master photographer in the 20th century, often called "one of  the most innovative and Influential photographers", of his time.

10.) Andrew Prokos
Prokos is a New York based photographer. Takes a lot of architecture and landmark photos.











11.) Vincent Laforet
Born 1975, in Switzerland.
Laforet is famous for his sky view fish eye lens photos. 






 
12.) Paolo Roversi
Born 1947 Ravenna Italy.
Master of low light and soft focused photos. Roversi is often imitated, but never bettered.


13.) Nan Goldin
Born September 12th 1953
Goldin took many photos of her friends, who did a lot of drugs, drinking, and other "hood rat" activities teens and young adults do today.


 


14.) Weegee 
Born June 12th 1899, Died December 26th 1968.
Weegee was famous for taking photos of crime scenes, often before police arrived.







15.) Slim Aarons
Born October 29th 1916, Died May 29th 2006. 
Aarons took photos of the rich and famous during the fifties and sixties.



16.) Dorothea Lange 
Born may 26th 1895, died October 11th 1965 (wikipedia)
Famous for her photographs of the Great Depression. Her photo, The Migrant Mother, is said to be one of the most famous photographs of all time. (Picturecorrect.com)

Born June 15th 1933, died May 31st 2010
Duffy was known for his fashion and portrait photography in the 60's and 70's.
